Patricio Cartagena

Lawyer, graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, with a master’s and other postgraduate studies in Environmental Law, Mining and Water Rights, Asset Certification and Valuation, and Business Administration.

He has extensive experience as head of service, director and legal manager, sustainability in companies, ministries, public services, as well as in service, engineering, renewable energy and mining companies.

His professional practice has focused mainly on Corporate Law / Compliance, Administrative, Natural Resources and the Environment, providing consulting services on project execution, contract negotiations, public works concessions, and dispute resolution.

He has led environmental project strategies, managing environmental permits and authorizations in mining and energy sector initiatives; and in service provider companies (i.e. construction, engineering, machine shops, earthworks, etc.). He has been professor and guest speaker in over 30 seminar, training and workshop activities. He is currently Associate Professor in Environmental Law and Mining at Universidad de las Americas and Universidad Central.
